i use kcam 4 to drive a stepper motor with no enable, it also has built test, works great. just when I try to use it with KCAM, it seems KCAM is not controlling the port, because in the port I/O view only the step pin toggles but the dir pin remains off. |

Nancy, What model of motor driver are you using? Please post your machine ini file or a KCam Support file. Kelly |

Your ini works with my PC. Test using a different pin for the direction signal. I suspect your port may be bad on this PC or another program is hijacking the port. Have you installed any other CNC program or any other program that may use the parallel port? |

Hi Nancy I tried with the Kemo M106 module around 18 months ago. The only control software I got it to run with was the bundled interface it was supplied with. Which I found to be very basic, steps, direction and speed, nothing much more than that! I gave up with the Kemo M106 module. Actually, it ended up in the garbage! Possibly not what you want to hear, but just my experience. All the best, Lee. |

Hi lee, You are absolutely right,i bought a new motor driver & it worked!,the problem was that kemo M106 doen't work with the same sequence of signals that most softwares send to the driver. thanks a lot. |
