When I hit the Esc stop on the keyboard the program just jams in a loop. You can get out of the loop if you hit motors enabled as the program eventually catches up with the loop "But" its way to much "egg timer" on the screen and stuck looping to make the program workable! Im still using 400.11 Because its the only version i have thats stable. I get the same problem on the other PCs i use with Kcam. |

I have noticed this also Ken. However, I am confidant that Kelly is aware and will most likely resolve it fairly soon. |

I am having the same problem and files that ive cut in the past with .35 are now cutting wierd. Ive had to hit the big red button a couple times when the Z axis decided to cut so deep in the bed that it broke a bit. I retested the file and it did it exactly at the same place.so I decided to "downgrade" to .35 but now when I launch it..it trys to first reconfigure Microsoft office and after I hit cancel it then trys to reconfigure Autocad. I hit cancel again and it then loads Kcam..wierd huh? so I downgraded to a lesser version and the same thing happens. yes. I uninstall first before reinstalling the lesser version. somtimes it just dosent pay to get up..lol I hope I havent broken my windblows.. I hate having to do reinstalls..sigh |

Please send me the files that drive the bit into the bed. I'll see what I can do. |

here it is Kelly. Ive been peruzing my system and I think I may have damaged windblows.. even autocad is acting wierd. Ive sent the autocad DWG and DXF files in a single zip. its been a few months since I cut these parts but didnt have any issues with them on older version of Kcam. anouther thing ive noticed is it seems to take forever to load into Kcam. thanks for taking the time. |

Kelly: Ive just reinstalled windows (hard drive was going) and reinstalled .51 with my old INI file. its still doing the same thing. there are 4 hatch cover sets, it cuts the first one partialy then goes up to start cutting the first upper hatch, as soon as it gets to the top and starts cutting from left to right, it starts Z-axis down and trys to drive the bit into the floor and its all about emergancy stop. its odd. the display shows all the hatches just as they where ploted in autocad..but during the cutting(red lines) it shows it like its trying to cut the Blue lines (I am at a total loss as to how to describe it. hope you can understand enduser and translate what I just said..lol)hope this new info helps. oh..it is still real slow on the load. |

I'm seeing the same thing too. I thought it might have been hardware related but when I rebooted the computer I was able to regain control of the Z-axis. After the bit drove into the table I manually EMO'ed the machine then on the z direction control both up and down buttons drove the bit down. |

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to toss in my 2 cents here. In my case I'm not experiencing loss of control over any axis. I do get a stuttering application when I hit the E-stop or ESC. But I G-code everything,I don't import the DXF to cut it. So my question is, Is this happining to you on imported filed or G-coded files? |

Hi Mike, In my case I imported a dxf file and converted it to g-code. Later I came back and imported the g-code file and tried cutting it. I checked the g-code and the z depth was correct at .5. I have not tried another file. I save all my g-code files that work so I may give that a try with a known good file that previously worked on my other machine. Stuttering is a good term for what I'm seeing. |

Ian, Would you please load a small sample file then make a KCam Support File(Help/About/Support File button) and copy the "c:\KC_Program_Wire_Data.csv" file to the compressed support file, "C:\KCam Support\KCam Support File.zip". Post the files so I can see your machine settings and paths. |
