I have Max Stepper and it seems to be running fine at 15 IPM. When I go to 30 IPM, I get missed steps in the X axis. I am running a 3 axis CNC router. I checked the back lash in the machine and it is fine. When I go to 50 IPM, the manual jog buttons work fine, but when I manually insert a g-code command, the steps are missed in X and Y axis. What could be the problem?

Hey Will, What speeds were you getting before? Is it just missing a few steps or is it going off some where unrelated to the plot? Also did you try setting a ramp? When you get into higher feed speeds you'll need to ramp the start. With Max you have to set true for the ramp in the LPT set up window then set your ramp rate between 1hz to 5hz in the Max port set up. Hope this helps.

Check the Table Setup window. You should have ramping turned on.

Hey Will, Hope I didn't goof you up looking in the LPT set up, I meant the Table Setup. Busy day!

Thanks for the help. It was the ramping. Just overlooked it in the table. Everything is running smooth. Very smooth. Thank you.
